Shipshape Studio Launch Party

Hello and welcome to the Shipshape Studio Blog. The blog will mainly be written by me, Emily, although there may be the occasional post by Adam and other crafty folk. I will still be writing my personal craft and lifestyle blog, Handmade by Emily, so be sure to go and check it out. On this blog I'll be posting news, behind the scenes photos and crafty goings on at Shipshape Studio. Just click on the 'follow' button or enter your email address in the sidebar to stay up to date, and don't forget you can find us on Facebook and Twitter too.

I thought I'd share some pictures of the Shipshape Studio Launch Party with you. It was a great evening, and we met lots of lovely local folk and arty crafty types, including the ladies from Duck Pond Market and The Joy of Vintage.

We made some special Shipshape Studio cocktails for the night which seemed to go down very well, and they looked very cute lined up on one of our craft tables.

It was great to share a couple of cocktails with Michael and Lindsey of Panther Club. They are both super-duper talented and Michael, who also works under the name Otherscenes, designed our website. Ella Masters, illustrator, jewellery-designer and blogger extraordinaire, also popped along with her Dad and was wonderful as usual. She is one of those warm, friendly people who puts you right at ease and is bloomin' funny too. Ella will be teaching jewellery making and illustration classes at Shipshape Studio, and you can sign up to them by clicking here. We also met Dominic Clifford, a local illustrator and screen printer, who brought along some of his prints to show us. Be sure to go and check out his work!

People seemed to be in the mood to shop and we sold lots of work from Handmade by Emily, Fritha Strickland and Sandra Dieckmann, which are all stocked instore and will be in our online shop too.

Make sure you go and take a look at the classes that we have coming up. We're looking forward to them and think that you'll love them, too.  If there are any that have dates to be confirmed just send us an email and we can let you know the dates. We look forward to seeing you at Shipshape Studio soon!
